Ozium "Clear The Air"

agency creative work

I worked as the creative director, writer, co-director, director of photography, and managed the vfx team. This project took a total of 6 months from start to finish. It was a huge leap of faith for the C.M.O. and brand to embrace cannabis culture and there was simply no other way to pull it off then signing up "weed" culture ambassador Wiz Khalifia. The project broke new boundaries as well for the advertising agency as we utilized photogrammetry scans of the picture car 2 months in advance of principal photography. We then processed the car and created a custom pipeline to move the car into traditional CG with the multi national vfx team. Simultaneously we designed the unreal engine world and refined the assets for our X.R. shoot on LED screens. Principal photography used custom fabricated puppets on hand built sets. We then worked around the clock for 3 months building the CG world using Houdini, Blender, Maya, Nuke, Flame, Unreal Engine, etc. Our final step was to laser out the finished project to 16mm and rescan for a truly organic film look. In the end the video amassed more than 3 million views in one week, increased sales by 147% and opened up new distribution channels for the client. Most famously they gained Walmart in store and online. A sales goal they had been working towards for years.
